Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Dec. 19, 2024 – Jonesboro police caught up with a man with an active warrant and prior felony convictions out of Mississippi County.

A member of the Second Judicial Drug Task Force identified 33-year-old Keith Real as he was walking on Vine Street. When a couple of squad cars pulled up to Real, he started to run. A K9 officer gave chase and quickly caught up with him.

He had a black handgun in his possession and officers noticed that he was throwing things while he was trying to escape. There was a small bag of meth in his pocket and officers found more in the road where he fell after the K9 engaged him.

The total amount of meth was 12 grams. The gun had one round in the chamber and 11 rounds in the clip.

Real was charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of meth and fleeing. His court date is Jan, 24 and his bond was set at $150,000 cash or surety. He is being held at the Craighead County Detention Center.
