Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — June 24, 2025 — With the hot temperatures lingering in Jonesboro for much of the week, the city is making sure you stay cool.
The City of Jonesboro posted on its Facebook page that there are four cooling stations open in the area. They are free to anyone who is out and about.
Additionally, Jonesboro Economical Transportation said it had stops at all four cooling locations and would provide free transportation to any of them.
“Just let your driver know which cooling station you would like to go to and we will get you there,” JETS said. “Stay cool, Jonesboro!”
Here are the locations of the cooling stations along with when they are open:
- Allen Park Community Center (3609 Race St.)
- Monday-Friday: 12 p.m.-9 p.m., Saturday: 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
- Parker Park Community Center (1506 N. Church St.)
- Monday-Friday: 12 p.m.-9 p.m., Saturday: 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
- Earl Bell Community Center (1212 S. Church St.)
- Monday-Friday: 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday: 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
- Jonesboro Youth Community Center (1421 W. Nettleton Ave.)
- Monday-Friday: 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday: 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
