Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — April 2, 2025 — The April Neighborhood Cleanup scheduled for Saturday has been postponed due to weather.
The cleanup will now take place April 12. The location and hours remain the same, which are listed below.
Jonesboro residents can drop off their items from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on April 12 at Huntington Church, located at 901 W. Huntington Ave. City staff will be on-site to help load items into dumpsters, according to a news release from the City of Jonesboro.
This cleanup will include a battery collection drop-off, in addition to the glass and bulky junk collections. Paper lawn bags are available for pickup while supplies last.
Accepted items are listed below:
- Clothes
- Tires (limit to eight, no rims)
- Basketball goals
- Furniture (includes electronics such as TVs, computers and printers)
- Appliances such as dryers, washers and fridges (freon and compressors must be removed)
- Paint cans (must be empty of all paint, lids must be removed and any residue must be dry)
Jonesboro residents can also bring glass to be recycled. The city will not accept the following items:
- Yard waste/limbs
- Tractor/semi tires
- Hazmat materials, such as oils, flammable or corrosive materials, automotive parts, or motors
- Remodeling/construction materials (single pieces are accepted, however)
If unable to make it to the cleanup, Jonesboro residents can drop off glass at the City Incinerator, located at 2650 Lacy Drive from 7 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Saturday drop-off will remain available during Daylight Savings Time, which ends Nov. 2.
