Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Feb. 12, 2025 – Jonesboro police recently responded to a disturbance at a Cedar Heights address.

Officers spoke with 26-year-old Rickey Harris, who gave them a false name in their initial conversation.

According to the incident report, the victims told officers Harris was causing issues with people in the residence by yelling and playing music loudly. One of the victims confronted him about this and said this caused Harris to become hostile and start making threats. Two victims at the scene told police that Harris threatened to kill them both in their sleep.

Harris was arrested and while on the way to the Craighead County Detention Center, he said the victims held him hostage and he was going to kill himself, the incident report said.

When police searched his residence, they found small amounts of marijuana and a bong.

Harris was charged with one count of 1st degree terroristic threatening, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of obstructing governmental operations.

His bond was set at $150,000 cash/surety and his next court date is March 20.
