Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – March 25, 2024 – District Judge David Boling set a $35,000 bond for a Jonesboro man after he found probable cause to charge him with kidnapping-false imprisonment and several misdemeanors.

Mark Edward-Allen Buie, 23, was arrested Sunday at an apartment in the 1600 block of Aggie Road after a domestic disturbance, according to a probable cause affidavit by Jonesboro police. A woman said Buie got his 4-month-old daughter out of his girlfriend’s vehicle and took the child inside of the apartment. The woman said she and her daughter, who is the mother of the child, went into the apartment after Buie.

When they were inside Buie locked the door. He then grabbed the child’s mother around the neck and dragged her into a bedroom and shut the door. Her mother said she heard Buie yelling at her daughter and her daughter began to scream. Buie left the bedroom and grabbed the complainant around the neck and threw her to the floor.

Police were called. When they arrived, they found Buie in a bedroom closet beneath a pile of clothes.

Boling also charged Buie with two counts of third-degree domestic battery and one count of endangering the welfare of a minor. Buie’s next court date is May 24 in the Craighead County Circuit Courthouse.
