Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct 28, 2024 – A Jonesboro man was charged with one count of sexual indecency with a child on Monday.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Deterrios Henry, 27, had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old. In an interview with Jonesboro police, the victim said she and Henry met on the social media app Snapchat, where he told her he was 19 years old.
The victim added that she and Henry talked for a few weeks and then she agreed to come to his house. He reportedly got her an Uber and bring her to his home, after which they engaged in sexual intercourse. The victim said this happened three times.
The victim said she spoke about the relationship with her coach at school, who reported it to her father. Her father reported it to Jonesboro police on Oct. 20. She provided officers Henry’s residence, phone number and place of employment, which allowed officers to confirm Henry as the suspect.
Henry was arrested Oct. 25 at 2:06 p.m. He was given a court date of Dec. 17 at 8:30 a.m. and a bond of $35,000 cash or surety. The bond includes a no-contact order with the victim.
