Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – July 29, 2024 – Over the weekend, Craighead County deputies responded to a disturbance call on CR 444. They made contact with a woman that said a man named Billy Holland had beat her up.

She did have a big bump on her forehead, and a big bald spot in her hair where she said he had ripped it out. When deputies asked where Holland was, she said that he was hiding in the woods down the road.

They went to that area and quickly located Holland in the woods. According to the report, he tried to hide behind a tree. His breath smelled of alcohol, he seemed drunk, and he was disoriented. Deputies said that he didn’t really have the ability to tell them what happened.

Once Holland was secured in the patrol car, they got some more details from the woman. They were driving down the road having an argument when Holland hit her in the head with a metal drink cup, grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head into the dash. Then, he got out of the vehicle and started walking down the road. That’s when she called 911.

Holland was charged with Domestic Battery in the 3rd degree, enhanced to a felony because of multiple offenses in 5 years. He was also in violation of a no-contact order with this same woman.
