Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — March 15, 2025 – A Jonesboro man was arrested after authorities determined he was not living at his registered address, violating sex offender reporting requirements.

On March 12, investigators with the Street Crimes Unit and parole agents conducted a home visit on South Hill Drive, where 38-year-old Willie Watson was registered to live. They couldn’t find him, so officers contacted his sister, who also did not know where he was.

After reaching Watson by phone, he agreed to meet investigators, and a parole search was conducted.

Watson initially said he lived with his mother, who was out of town. But messages on his phone suggested otherwise. He later said that he had been staying at a place on Cedar Heights Drive, but investigators found the residence vacant.

Further investigation revealed more inconsistencies in his claims, and a landlord at another address said he had never seen Watson there.

According to the probable cause affidavit, during a jail call on March 13, Watson was heard instructing a woman to retrieve his belongings from “Easy Street,” cautioning her not to discuss it over the phone.

Watson was charged with failure to register and comply with reporting requirements. He is held on a $75,000 cash or surety bond with an ankle monitor, with a court date set for April 24.
