Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — May 16, 2025 — A Jonesboro man was given a $250,000 cash/surety bond on Friday after police said they found several drugs and firearms at his home and evidence of drugs being sold on his phone.

Craighead County Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause to charge 24-year-old Noah Qurran Thompson with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of firearm by certain persons/prior violent felony with a deadly weapon/firearm used in another, possession of a Schedule I or II substance with the purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstructing government operations.

According to the affidavit, on May 15, the Jonesboro Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit conducted a probation search at his home in the 1800 block of Cedar Heights Drive.

Upon arrival, Investigator Tanner Huff found Thompson inside, sitting on a chair and smoking marijuana, the affidavit said. He was taken into custody without incident.

Investigators searched the living room, finding several items, including two plastic bags, one of them containing 13 grams of marijuana, and another with 31 ecstasy pills. They also found a box of plastic bags used to package drugs for sale, two digital scales with residue, and a jar with one gram of THC wax. In total, about 16 grams of marijuana were recovered, including what Thompson had been smoking.

The affidavit said Huff also found a handgun underneath a couch cushion that had one round loaded and 14 in the magazine. A fore grip with a built-in tactical light for an AR-15 rifle was also found.

Huff got Thompson’s cell phone from him and noticed several Facebook messages on his lock screen about drug sales, according to the affidavit. The investigator also noticed a Cash App notification about someone sending Thompson $20 for “crud,” which the affidavit notes “is a common street term used to refer to THC wax.”

According to the affidavit, Thompson refused to give Huff the pass code to fully search the phone, saying, “I know it’s another charge, I’m fixing to go to jail anyways.”

The affidavit noted that Thompson is a previously convicted felon and is on active felony probation with a search waiver on file.

In addition to the $250,000 cash/surety bond, Fowler ordered that Thompson wear a GPS ankle monitor upon release and have no access to any weapons.

Thompson’s next court date is scheduled for June 27.
