Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 3, 2025 – A Jonesboro man facing is facing multiple charges after police said he raped an underage victim.

On Oct. 3, District Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause to charge 34-year-old Tyler White with one count of rape/sexual intercourse/person less than 14 years of age, one count of sexual indecency with a child, one count of sexually grooming a child, and one count of terroristic threatening.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on Sept. 24, Arkansas Crimes Against Children referred a case involving inappropriate contact with an adult and a juvenile to the Jonesboro Police Department. The victim reported inappropriate contact between themself and White, their ex-stepfather, to their therapist, who then reported it to Arkansas Crimes Against Children.

According to the affidavit, a forensic interview with the victim was conducted on Sept. 22, in which they said White would make them ingest their parent’s prescription medication and alcohol, causing the victim to become drowsy.

The victim said White would often become intoxicated, walk around the home in the nude and make the victim look at his genitals. The affidavit also said White would remove his clothes and get into bed with the victim.

While the victim’s parent was at work, White would engage in sexual activity with the victim. The affidavit said this happened “multiple times” and only while the victim’s parent was working.

The affidavit said White followed the victim into the shower. It also said White showed the victim a “sex tape” in which White reportedly told the victim to “take notes.”

When the victim did not comply in certain situations, White would threaten to kill the victim and sell them into human trafficking, the affidavit said.

The affidavit said White was physically abusive to the victim and their parent. The victim also said their parent was not aware of the sexual abuse and had not told anyone, fearing White would find and hurt them.

White was previously given a temporary bond of $100,000, which Fowler maintained based on an agreement between White’s defense and the prosecutor. White was also ordered to have no contact with the victim.

Online jail records say White was arrested on Oct. 1 and then released from the Craighead County Detention Center on Oct. 2 at 2:17 p.m. He is due back in court on Nov. 25.
