Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – March 7, 2025 – Police arrested a Jonesboro man who is accused of having sex with a child. According to the probable cause affidavit, on March 6, Jonesboro police got a report that a child was touched and assaulted by a man.

During the investigation, the victim said 41-year-old Gerren Ray James had them perform sexual acts on them. In another case, the victim said James had touched them inappropriately while playing a video game, the affidavit stated. On March 7, Craighead County Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause to charge James with rape.

James is being held in the Craighead County Detention Center on a $250,000 cash/surety bond. Judge Fowler also ordered James to have no contact with the victim.

James’ next court appearance is scheduled for April 24.
