Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library has events planned for May for all ages, such as a practice ACT and an art workshop.

On May 12, the library will partner with the Bradbury Art Museum to host a Tween Workshop from 4-5 p.m. in the Round Room. The workshop is designed for fourth through sixth graders.

During this workshop, participants will learn how to sculpt tiny snails out of air-dry clay, teaching basic sculpting techniques. No registration is required.

The following day, the library will host a TeenHub Sensory Hangout for students in grades 7-12 in the Round Room from 4-5 p.m.

The event is designed as a calming break during the end-of-semester season. Teens can color, doodle, work on puzzles, or do other quiet activities of their choice. Registration is not required.

On May 15, the library will host a Ukulele Jam Session from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Round Room. Participants will learn the chords to The Cure’s “Friday I’m in Love.” The program is designed to be beginner-friendly, and registration is only required if one intends to borrow one of the library’s ukuleles.

Then, on May 16, the library will partner with Beacon Tutoring Company to host a practice ACT test from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Round Room. Enter using the Round Room’s after-hours entrance on the library’s Madison Street side.

Pre-registration is required for this event, which can be done here or in person. This is the last practice ACT test for the spring 2026 session. Tests will resume in the fall.
