Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library has announced a series of activities for kids and tweens over fall break.
The “Fall Break Staycation” activities range from crafts to Nerf challenges and are geared toward families whose children are on break from school.
The schedule and details for the activities are:
Monday, Nov. 24:
- Pre-K Cardboard Gingerbread Man Craft: Kids can decorate large cardboard gingerbread men with stickers, trims, and other fun baubles. 10 to 11 a.m.
- School Age Dart Defenders: Kids in grades K-3 are invited to join an exciting Nerf event. Age groups will be strictly enforced. 2 to 3 p.m.
- Tween Dart Defenders: Tweens can take part in their own Nerf event. Age groups will be strictly enforced. 3 to 4 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 25:
- Preschool Building Hour: Pre-K kids can explore a variety of building activities designed to spark creativity and fine motor skills. 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Big Block Blowout: Kids in grades K-6 can enjoy a building extravaganza featuring tables full of LEGO bricks. 2 p.m. 3 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 26:
- Kindness Cards: Children of all ages are welcome to the Children’s Department to create cards with kind messages for residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The library is hosting these events to help kids enjoy the fall break, make new friends and spark their creativity. The library is located at 315 W. Oak Ave., and more information can be found online here.
