Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – The victim of a fatal crash involving two semi-trucks has been identified as Robert Furches, 71, from Millington, TN.
According to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash report, Furches was driving a 2023 Freightliner and headed eastbound on CW Post Road when he struck Dinh Linh Hong, 55, who was headed southbound on Moore Road. Linh Hong, who was from Morrow, GA, was treated for injuries at the scene. He was driving a 2020 Volvo.

The crash occurred at 10:55 a.m. on Jan. 14, 2026. According to a witness who arrived on the scene shortly after the accident, both semi-trucks had out-of-state tags and may not have known a stop was required at the intersection. A temporary stop sign appeared to have fallen over and may not have been visible to the drivers.
“We want to express our sympathy to that family, the families that are involved,” said Donna Malone, director of communications for the City of Jonesboro.
She went on to add that the city will be reviewing the incident carefully. “It will require the street department, the traffic coordinators, and all of the people who study our traffic patterns to look for safety improvements,” she said. “Those kinds of issues are constantly evaluated and, obviously, with this horrible accident, that’ll be our primary concern.”
