Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – March 2, 2025 – A Jonesboro man is being held on a $100,000 cash/surety bond after investigators said they found meth and drug paraphernalia at his home and vehicle.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on Feb. 26, investigators with the Jonesboro Street Crimes Unit got word that 40-year-old Bobby McKinley Crawford had sold and used meth. He was known to be on felony probation with a search waiver on file and had an active failure-to-appear warrant in Baxter County.
On Feb. 27, surveillance equipment was set up at his listed probation address in the 1200 block of Oakdale Street.
The affidavit stated that investigators saw Crawford drive and park his car in front of the home, noting he had a suspended driver’s license. He was seen nervously checking through the passenger side of his car, which is when an investigator met up with him and informed Crawford he was under arrest.
During a search of the home, the investigator found 2.2 grams of suspected meth, multiple clear sandwich bags, and a mirror, digital scale, and glass pipe, all with white residue later confirmed to be meth.
According to the affidavit, the investigator went back to where Crawford was digging in the vehicle and found a clear baggie with a 4.3 gram shard of suspected meth. Crawford also told the investigator he had a suboxone strip in the center console, which he did not have a prescription for.
Crawford agreed to let investigators search his belongings and devices, but when they tried to gain access to an electronic device that was password protected, he refused to let them have access. Crawford was arrested and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.
On Feb. 28, Craighead County Judge David Boling found probable cause to charge Crawford with possession of meth or cocaine with the purpose to deliver greater than two grams but less than 10 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Schedule III substance less than two grams, obstructing governmental operations, and driving while license is cancelled, suspended, or revoked.
Crawford’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 24. According to online jail records, Crawford bonded out on March 1 at 2:08 p.m.
