Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – June 15, 2024 – A day full of activities celebrating Juneteenth was happening in Jonesboro Saturday.
The third annual Juneteenth Parade happened at 9;30 Saturday morning. Later a Juneteenth Community Fair and Pool Party was planned for 4-7pm followed by a Proclamation Reading and Juneteenth Fireworks Show at the University Heights Lions Park on North Bridge.
The theme of this year’s Jonesboro Juneteenth celebration is “Generational Jubilee!”
The event is organized and promoted by community radio station KLEK.
