Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – April 26, 2024 – Aaron Farley, a local business owner with deep ties to his community, recently made a remarkable gesture that exemplifies the spirit of generosity.
Moved by the collective effort on social media to assist a young girl in foster care, Aaron, whose heart is passionate about supporting local causes, decided to take action.

Early this week, Together we Foster‘s Executive Director Lindsay Roberts posted a need on Facebook for a local foster teen. She expressed that the high school senior’s car had broken down and repairs were going to be quite costly. Lindsay said that she was hoping to raise funds to fix or replace the girl’s vehicle.
There’s a local teen in foster care whose car has some major repairs that need to be done (that we expect to be quite costly) or even needs a completely different vehicle. Her vehicle can’t even move at the moment. She’s a hard worker that has a job and needs it to help her get to and from. She’s also going to be starting college this summer, so we need to help find a solution pretty quick. She’s been saving to get moved out on her own at college and we don’t want this to cause a set back there. If you know of someone that has a car for sale (super cheap) or someone that wants to donate one to her, send us a message.
Lindsay told JonesboroRightNow that DHS does provide funds for vehicle repairs, housing, insurance, and other expenditures, but it often doesn’t cover everything.
The post was shared over 100 times in less than 12 hours. According to Lindsay, Aaron contacted her “first thing” Monday morning and told her that he wanted to donate a car for the teen in need.
She added that she doesn’t know Aaron personally, but everyone she’s spoken to this week mentioned “that sounds just like something he’d do!”
Having grown up at Crowley’s Ridge Academy, Aaron told JRN that he forged lasting bonds with the children’s home in Paragould. Through those relationships, his heart developed a soft spot for these children. Farley says “I’ve seen so many success stories from foster kids and from the children’s home kids. They just need a chance.
“When I found out it was a foster care girl, I didn’t just want to donate funds, I wanted to donate the whole vehicle. I know what the Children’s Home does and I have the utmost respect for what they do, and we didn’t think twice about it.”
Through his business, Delta Motors in Bono, he donated a Nissan Altima to the deserving teenager.
“We are blessed to be in a position where we could donate a vehicle, so we were happy to do so.” Aaron said of himself and his colleagues at Delta Motors. “We can’t do it every time, but if we are in a position to do it, we will do it.”
Aaron added “All the funds that were raised for the car were still given to her to help her to move into an apartment this summer.”
Roberts and the student arrived at Delta Motors yesterday to pick up the vehicle.
Aaron reflected on the moment, “We had it all serviced and cleaned up and made sure everything was good to go for her. She was so happy. Just seeing the smile on her face made it all worthwhile. No doubt about it.”
Aaron understands personally the transformative impact of offering opportunities and support to those in need.
He is on an ongoing journey of supporting his own daughter battling a rare disorder. “As of right now, I’m in the middle of raising funds for my daughter who is suffering from a terrible disorder called ML4, it’s a form of lysosomal storage disorder, she’s one of only 100 kids in the world who have this disorder. There’s no treatment.”
“I’m hosting a Golf Tournament Fundraiser on June 7 at Sage Meadows, all funds are going to ML4 Foundation.” Aaron went on, “We are looking for sponsorships – any business owners who are looking to be a part of this. ML4 is a 501(c)(3), so donations will be tax deductible.”
“We are trying to raise money for the Massachusetts General Hospital, the doctors and scientists there are passionate and motivated for not just Saylor, but all who are suffering from this disease.”
From the community support he’s received in asking for help for his daughter to the immediate support he gave to the teen in need, Aaron said the community has helped him so much, he didn’t think twice about helping someone else, “That is one of the reasons why I felt motivated to do it, so many are helping with my daughter, I felt like I needed to give back.”
“I enjoy stuff like this, I feel like God calls us to help people in their time of need. People do it for me and I love doing it for them.”
