Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 10, 2025 – With snow blanketing Jonesboro, several local entities have announced closures and are rescheduling events.
January Neighborhood Cleanup:
The Neighborhood Cleanup originally scheduled for this Saturday has been moved to Jan. 18 from 8 a.m. to noon at Llamados Por El Rey, 3307 Race St. according to a post on the City of Jonesboro Facebook.

Big Squirrel Challenge:
The Forrest L Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature Center also posted that the statewide Big Squirrel Challenge, which was scheduled for this weekend, has been postponed until Feb. 7-8. Adult and youth teams hunt from noon on Feb. 7 until noon on Feb. 8, during legal shooting hours to harvest the three largest squirrels they can find.
Hunters can use squirrel dogs or still hunt. Special prizes and draws are available for hunters who weigh in the largest squirrels. To participate in the 2025 Big Squirrel Challenge, hunters must follow all hunting regulations outlined in the 2024-25 Hunting Guidebook.

Shadrachs Coffee locations across Jonesboro are closed or operating under limited hours.

Native Brew Works:
Native Brew Works will be closed today and is canceling the Bingo + Donations for Hope Found of NEA scheduled for this evening. However, the business said in a Facebook post it is working on scheduling a new fundraiser date for Hope Found of Northeast Arkansas, and will provide updates on when it plans to reopen.
Craighead County/Jonesboro Public Library:
All branches of the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library will be closed today. These branches are the Jonesboro, Caraway, Harrisburg, Lake City, Marked Tree, Monette, Weiner and Brookland locations.
This will also postpone or cancel events planned at these locations for today, such as the Intro to Cricut Design Space at the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library this evening. The library will post updates on when it plans to reopen.
NYITCOM at A-State Medical Clinic:
The NYITCOM at A-State Medical Clinic, which will be closed today and will be reaching out to re-schedule patients as soon as possible.
NEA Baptist:
NEA Baptist said that some Urgent Care location hours have changed, with some clinics closing or operating under limited hours.

St. Bernards Healthcare:
St. Bernards Healthcare adjusted their hours for today at their Urgent Care locations. Its Jonesboro clinics, located on Parker Road and Red Wolf Boulevard, opened at 8 a.m. today, and Kennett opened at 9 a.m. Its Manila and Paragould locations are both closed.
