Joan Swindle 92, of Maynard passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family Wednesday, April 17, 2024. She was born in Arkansas on May 28, 1931, to the late Hite Mock and Essie Pittman Mock.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hite and Essie Mock and husband, Bill Swindle.
Joan is survived by her daughters, Becky (Tommy) Taylor of Maynard and Mary Jo Dust (Terry) of Maynard; grandchildren, Chandra (Joey) McDowell of Pocahontas, Holly (Shawn) Sutton of Paragould and Caleb (Ashley) Taylor of Maynard; sister, June Kerley of Jonesboro; nine great grandchildren, Lindsey McDowell of Nashville, TN., Taylor (Tyler) Trover of Bernie, MO., Chloe (Austin) Phillips of Rogers, Sarah (Hunter) Scharbor of Conway, Madilyn McDowell and Ian McDowell of Pocahontas, Ty Taylor, Jase Taylor & Grayson Taylor all of Maynard; four great-great grandchildren, Aubree Trover, Tripp Trover, Millie Scharbor, Weston McDowell and Sutton Phillips due in August.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday, April 19, 2024, in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Northside Church of Christ in Maynard with Ligie Waddell and Randy Scott officiating. A burial will follow in the Northside Cemetery.
