Jo Ann Beasley, a cherished soul known for her selfless nature and deep devotion to her faith and family, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, at her home in Paragould, AR. Born on September 5, 1947, in Chicago, IL, Jo Ann’s life was a testament to her enduring love and the joy she found in the simple pleasures of life. Throughout her life, Jo Ann embodied the essence of selflessness. She always put the needs of others before her own, offering her time, her resources, and most importantly, her love, without a second thought.
A dedicated member of the Paragould Church of God, Jo Ann’s faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She lived her beliefs through her actions, exuding kindness and compassion to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love for the Lord was evident in her every deed and her commitment to her church community.
Jo Ann had a passion for her beautiful flower garden. In earlier years, she also tended a bountiful vegetable garden. Known as a wonderful cook, Jo Ann’s kitchen was a place of warmth and welcome. Her cooking was not just about the food; it was an expression of her love for her family.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Jay Beasley; parents, Edgar and Bernice Warner; brothers, Harold Dean Warner, Thomas James Warner, and Robert Wayne Warner; and sister, Betty Easley.
Jo Ann is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Mitchell and Carrie Smith (Richard); grandchildren, Shayla Weiss, Savannah Van Slyke (Cody), Trevor Smith; great-grandchildren, Sam Weiss, Andrew Weiss, Landon Van Slyke, Nevaeh Van Slyke; siblings, Shirley Breckenridge, Harold Edward Warner, Jeanie Rogers (Eddie), Billy Ray Warner, Dewayne Warner, Rondal Warner (Norma), Brenda Dickerson (Marvin), Kathy Cooper, Gary Don Warner, Judy Wigginton (Keith), and Carla Prince (Gary); and several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 15, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 16, at Phillips Funeral Home with Gary Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
Gary Don Warner, Harold Edward Warner, Billy Ray Warner, Rondal Warner, Cody Van Slyke, and Richard Smith will serve as pallbearers. Keith Wigginton and Gary Prince will serve as honorary pallbearers.
