Jimmy Ray Barber, 65, of Oakland, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at his home. He was born March 22, 1959 in Jonesboro to Ray Barber and the late Joyce Stubbs. Jimmy was a carpet installer for most of his career. He also was a volunteer fireman for many years. Jimmy enjoyed karate, rock music, playing the drums and guitar.
In addition to his father, Jimmy is survived by his step-father, JB Stubbs of Oakland; 2 sons, Jimmy Lee Barber of Odessa, Texas, Jesse (Avery) Barber of Oakland; 2 daughters, Kristy (Jeff) Davis of Texarkana, Texas, Kandy Barber of Houston, Texas; 2 brothers, Michael Barber of Oakland, Gary Barber of Memphis; 2 sisters, Cheryl (Connie Gellert) Barber of Jonesboro, Stacie (Carlos) Garcia of Memphis; 5 grandchildren: Adam, Jessica, Brayden, Aubrey, Ariana Rae and 1 great grandchild.
