Jimmy Dale Hammon, 81, passed away on July 18, 2024, at his residence in Paragould, Arkansas. Born on May 19, 1943, in Gainesville, Arkansas, Jimmy lived a life marked by kindness, music, and a deep love for his family.  Jimmy was extremely proud of being a pilot.  In addition to his love for aviation, Jimmy was a talented musician known for his soulful singing.  Jimmy’s warm personality made him a friend to all. He approached life with a gentle demeanor and a ready smile, always willing to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement. His kindness was a beacon that drew people to him.  Above all, Jimmy was a wonderful family man. His devotion to his loved ones was unwavering.

Jimmy worked at Emerson Electric and Garlock (Dana) for many years.  At each place, he cultivated many friendships that he cherished.  

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents,  Lester and Tennie Wells Hammon; brother, Manuel Hammon; sister, Sandra Boozer and her husband, Louis Boozer; infant twin sisters, Marla Sue and Marsa Lou Hammon; and sister-in-law, Sue Hammon.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Pat Hammon; sons, Kevin Hammon (Dorothy), Darin Hammon (Valory), and Seth Hammon; brothers, Frankie Hammon and Gerald Hammon (Donna); grandchildren, Lindsey Wright, Caleb Hammon, Grace Hammon, Brooke Edwards, Hannah Huffmaster, and Luke Hammon; great-grandchildren, Aubree Baker, Drake Wright, Josiah Huffmaster, Edy Violet Huffmaster, and Isaiah Huffmaster.

The family will have a memorial service Monday, July 22, at 11:30 a.m. at Faith Fellowship, 1004 S Rockingchair Road, Paragould.  Burial will be private.

Luke Hammon, Caleb Hammon, Cole Mangrum, Casey Mangrum, Jared Huffmaster, and Alex Edwards will serve as honorary pallbearers.
