James Ray Stout of Trumann departed this life Wednesday, February 7th at the family residence at the age of 79 years, 5 months and days. James was born Tuesday, August 8, 1944 in Monette to the late Everett Green and Gracie Helen Wilson Stout. He was an Army veteran and worked as a farm hand most of his life and was of the Pentecostal faith. James loved fishing, woodwork, painting, nature bird watching, hummingbirds, watching western and in his younger day was called cowboy. James was preceded in death by one son, James Ray Stout, Jr.; one daughter, Sandra Kay Stout; one sister, Helen Loriene Stout; one brother, Owen Eugene Perryman; 1 niece, 1 nephew, one grandchild, Conner Aiden Stout; one great-grandchild; Sophia Hughes and his parents.
He is survived by one son, Jimmy Ray (April) Stout of Paragould; two daughters, Shelia (Samuel) Montgomery of Jonesboro, AR and Brenda Kay Eaton of Trumann; two brothers, Charles Dean Stout of Cabot and Everett Leon Stout; his former wife and mother of his children, Linda Rouse of Trumann; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 at Farm Hill Cemetery near Harrisburg with Terry Songer officiating.
