Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept 6, 2024 – Billy Coram was arrested on August 7 for charges including escape from custody, parole violation, and felony fleeing.

During his transport to the jail, Coram was reportedly beaten by Jonesboro Police Officer Joseph Tucker Harris who was subsequently fired for the use of force incident.

Since then, Coram has been held at the Craighead County Detention Center awaiting his next court date.

CCDC staff released probable cause paperwork today stating that Coram was assaulted again on September 3, this time by a group of 3 inmates. “The inmates that took part in the assault were Jerry Brown, Kendrick Anderson, and William Faulkner.”

The affidavit goes on to explain that Coram was hit from behind in the face, punched repeatedly, stole his commissary, and struck him while he was down.

The document states that Coram was transported to a local hospital to be checked out.
