Herrman Dale Swan, 84, of Rosebud, AR passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born on August 27, 1939, in Toledo, OH to Wesley and Grace (Boatman) Swan. Herman worked on the water most of his life, as a crewman on a tugboat and as a merchant marine before retiring to enjoy fishing, carpentry, singing, and reading his Bible.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Rick Swan; brothers JW, Marvin, Harold, and Donnie; and sisters Hazel and Laverne.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Marcus (Stormie) Swan; daughters Thia (Robert Crick) Rogers, Debbie (Chris) Chavez; Kimberly (Rodney) Huffman, and Debra (Patty) Swan; 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and many friends and loved ones.
