Monette- Helen Juanita Poe, 95, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 24, 2024 at St. Bernards Medical Center.
She was born December 10, 1928 in Leachville to the late Shiral and Hazel Wiser Austin. She was a lifelong member of Rowe’s Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed the simple joys of life, including cooking and reading her Bible. She was loved dearly by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lee Roy Poe; son, Roger Poe; six brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane Goodman; her daughter-in-law, Terri Poe both of Monette; granddaughter, Denell Poe; great-grandsons, Zachary Poe and Zander Poe all of Paragould; sisters, Jeraldean Tuck of Valdesta, GA and Melvadean French of Jonesboro.
A celebration of her life will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Rev. Melvin Poe officiating. Interment will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Heath Wallace, Tony Sutterfield, Mark Prince, Tony Austin, Kevin Austin, Michael Adams and Robert Anderson.
