Hannah M. Freeman, 76, passed away September 2, at her home.  She was born June 16, 1948, at home in Lake City, to Charley Jackson and Eula Pauline (Mahan) Freeman.  She was a graduate of both Jonesboro High School and Arkansas State University.

Hannah was a retired senior field auditor with the Division of Legislative Audit, State of Arkansas, and a retired certified fraud examiner.  Upon retirement, she took theatre classes, continued to enjoy sewing and gardening and added genealogy to her pastimes.  Eventually, she began consulting with local counties and schools where she helped find bookkeeping solutions.  Hannah was a former and founding Master Gardener Volunteer for Craighead and Greene counties where, along with her sister Connie, helped begin the original route for the National Scenic Byway thru Clay and Greene counties.  She also volunteered at the Visual and Performing Arts school and was known as “Miss Hannah”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Mavis M. Kirksey and Mazie I. Henry, her brother Marlin D. Freeman and three brothers in law, Doyle Kirksey, Edgar Henry, and Jerry Feild.

Survivors include son, Michael Wilson Blair; daughter and son in law, Jennifer Leigh and Vincent Brown; grandchildren, Chance William Curtner, Madelyn Sue Brown, and Zoie(Omar) Lynn Brown Aguillon; great-granddaughters, Luna Claire, Sol Natalia and Estrella Alhena all of Jonesboro; sister, Connie M. Feild, of Brookland; sister in law Joan W. Freeman of Haskell, Arkansas; three generations of nephews, nieces, extended family and many, many friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 7 from 11:00 am to 1 pm at Gregg-Langford Bookout in Jonesboro.  Burial will be private.
