Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – July 8, 2024 – A Jonesboro postal worker made a startling discovery over the holiday weekend when making a delivery. The Jonesboro Police Department says the mail carrier found a gun and a handful of bullets in a mailbox.
The carrier called police and informed them of the situation. Officers recovered a 380 Smith & Wesson, along with the bullets.
JPD has not announced any arrests or charges from the incident.
Police want to remind the public the dangers of touching unknown guns when they are found, as they could be stolen or have been used in a crime.
