Glenna Leonice (Lonnie) Pettigrew Grist, age 102 of Pocahontas, Arkansas passed away at Randolph County Nursing Home.
Lonnie was born in Biggers, AR to the late Clarence and Willie (Luter) Pettigrew on July 1, 1922.
Lonnie worked at various jobs throughout her life: cotton picker, tomato canner, gas station operator, welder on liberty ships, maid, butcher, restaurant owner, and rancher.
Lonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Grist, son Clarence W. Grist, grandson Gregory Grist, five sisters and two brothers.
Lonnie is survived by her sister June Wisdom of O’Fallon, MO, son Richard (Karen) Grist of Royse City, TX, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Friday, August 2nd, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Randolph Memorial Gardens in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Roger Hovis will be officiating. All services will be under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
