Frank Simington, 76, of Pocahontas, passed away on November 24, 2024. He was born on March 12, 1948, in Valley Chapel to the late Harvey and Vivian Peterson Simington.

Frank proudly served in the Army right after high school. He later worked for Waterloo for 20 years. Frank enjoyed the great outdoors, with a love for camping, fishing, and hunting. He had a special affection for his grandchildren and cherished every moment with them. A dedicated community member, Frank was a Boy Scout leader, volunteer fireman, and first responder for Dalton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Vivian Simington; siblings, Steve Simington, John Simington, George Simington, David Simington, Nancy Lawrence, Mary Frields, and Linda Bellah; as well as his son-in-law, Mark Donnor, and many other loved ones.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Simington; children, Angie (Randell) Deatherage of Pocahontas, Lori Donnor of Pocahontas, and Carolyn (John) Jackson of St. Roberts, MO.; grandchildren, Traci Reed, Emilie Anderson, Josh Deatherage, Alex Boyd, Vivian Bowie, Nitro Jackson, and Max Jackson; great-grandchildren, Faith and Dean Anderson, Payton Reed, and Lucy Deatherage; siblings, Robert Simington, Dale Simington, Joyce Mitchell, and Evelyn McGuire, along with numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Gravesville Cemetery, with Matthew Donnor officiating.

Frank’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
