Frances Ellen York, 86, of Paragould, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.  She was born June 2, 1938, in Matthews, Missouri, to Tommy and Laura McGee.  Frances was a talented seamstress and artist.  Using her skills, she helped establish an outreach through 7th and Mueller Church of Christ that sewed teddy bears for all the children treated at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.  Frances was a longtime member of Senath Church of Christ and 7th and Mueller Church of Christ.    

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted York; and siblings, James McGee and Gloria Kelso.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Byron Small, Laurie and Kevin Eubanks, April and Todd Gazaway, Amber and Steven Hill; grandchildren, Landon (Katie) Small, Dr. Luke (Colleen) Small, Tiffany (Jason) Nolen, Emily (Beau) Sisco, Kelsey Eubanks, Ben Gazaway, Aaron Gazaway, Levi Gazaway, Cruz (Jacie) Hill, and Chloe Hill; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Saturday, November 9, at 7th and Mueller Church of Christ.  The funeral service will begin at noon at 7th and Mueller Church of Christ with Micah Williams and Jim Powell officiating.  Burial will be private.

Frances’ grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
