Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Feb. 26, 2025 – A Forrest City man has been accused of endangering the welfare of a minor while fleeing in a stolen vehicle in Jonesboro.

While standing before Judge Tommy Fowler on Wednesday, 19-year-old Keitrone Kellom was charged with one count of theft of a vehicle valued at $25,000 or more, a felony count of fleeing and a misdemeanor count of fleeing, one count of 1st degree criminal mischief, one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, one count of possessing instruments of crime, one count of 1st degree endangering the welfare of a minor and one count of careless and prohibited driving.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on Oct. 20, 2024, around 3:30 a.m., officers responded to a vehicle theft in progress at a Jonesboro address. The victim provided officers with video footage of three suspects: two pushing the vehicle and one driving it.

Officers identified Kellom as the driver of a white Infiniti car involved in the theft. They later located the stolen vehicle.

The victim’s vehicle sustained rear bumper damage and had white paint matching the Infiniti on it, suggesting it had been used to push the victim’s vehicle, the affidavit said.

According to the affidavit, an officer saw a suspect exit the stolen vehicle and flee toward the Infiniti.

The officer started to pursue, and Kellom, who was driving the Infiniti, attempted to flee but drove into a dead end at a speed higher than the 20-mph posted speed limit, the affidavit said.

Kellom reportedly made a U-turn and drove toward the officer before making an “aggressive” left turn and crashing into a tree. Kellom and three other suspects fled on foot, according to the affidavit.

While searching the Infiniti, officers found a vehicle programmer, which is used for making key fobs. They also found a cable matching the programmer connected to the Infiniti’s OBD port. The OBD port is used to access a vehicle’s computer.

According to the affidavit, one juvenile suspect was apprehended from the white Infiniti. Kellom was arrested on Feb. 25 at 12:24 p.m., according to online jail records.

Kellom was given a $75,000 cash-only bond. If he makes bond, he must wear a GPS ankle monitor. The probable cause affidavit noted that Kellom has previous fleeing charges and is a “threat to [the] community.”

His next court date is April 24.
