Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 10, 2024 – The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will host drive-thru commodity distributions in Craighead County Oct. 23 from 9 – 11 a.m. or until food runs out at the following locations:
- Parker Park Community Center at 1522 N. Church St., Jonesboro
- Caraway Housing Authority at 325 Missouri St., Caraway
Persons receiving USDA foods must reside in Craighead County. Recipients must also meet the income guidelines that have been set for The Emergency Food Assistance Program. Households are eligible to receive USDA foods once per month.
Recipients will need to provide the following information to determine program eligibility: name, address, family size, and combined monthly income of the household. An appropriate form of identification such as a driver’s license, social security card, or picture identification card must be shown.
Recipients will only be allowed to pick up USDA foods for themselves. To pick up food items for a shut-in, elderly person, or other qualified households, the person picking up the food must have signed authorization with the following information from the person they are picking up for the name, address, family size, and combined monthly income of the household receiving the food. Caseworkers picking up for large groups must make prior arrangements with the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas.
USDA foods are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Food Bank of Northeast and the U.S. Department of Agriculture prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity. Food Bank staff/volunteers will utilize a translation app to accommodate persons with limited English proficiency.
