Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — April 30, 2025 — The Foundation of Arts (FOA) will be offering a new experience for downtown goers with its new “Stage, Too Weekends” programming.

FOA executive director Stephanie Epps said Stage, Too will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with a few exceptions for holidays, beginning May 1.

“We’re starting trivia night tomorrow night and I’m hosting,” Epps said. “Thursday nights every week will be game night. So, trivia, Singo Bingo, Pictionary, any kind of fun group-based games. It’s going to be so fun. Then, on Friday night, we’re going to have live music. Obviously, the setting is small, so it’ll mostly be smaller acoustic acts.”

While Game Night Thursdays and Acoustic Fridays will be free to attend, snacks and drinks will be for sale.

Epps also noted that Wild Card Saturdays would rotate in a specific order, following the same pattern each month. These include a workshop night, the Mic Drop, the Wordplay Café, and a movie night.

“For example, the first Saturday of every month will be some kind of workshop,” she said. “For this first one, we’re doing flower arranging with Generations Floral. We’re going to have a charcuterie making one. We’re going to have a ballroom dance one. So, it will be any and everything for what you might learn.”

The workshops will have varying admission fees depending on the class and registration will be required. To register for a workshop, visit The Foundation of Arts website.

On the second Saturday, Epps said that the Mic Drop will be anything from karaoke to an open mic to comedy. On the third Saturday, the FOA will host their Wordplay Café, which will include poetry, short stories and other activities that are associated with the written and spoken word.

On the final Friday of each month, the FOA will host a movie night sponsored by Lost Pizza called Flashback Flicks, which will feature a variety of older movies, ranging from the 1980s to the early 2000s.

While the individual workshops will have fees to help pay for instructors and materials, Epps noted the other Saturdays will all be free admission.

“We’re hoping it’ll just be a place people can come and spend time and enjoy being downtown,” Epps said. “Maybe, they can go grab supper somewhere at one of the many wonderful downtown restaurants and then come hang out for a little while and enjoy the programming we’re going to offer. It is part of the entertainment district, of course.”

Epps added that if a month has an extra Saturday, details for that day’s event will be posted on the FOA’s official social media.

“It’s just going to be a month-to-month thing,” Epps said. “We’re really encouraging everybody to follow us on socials because that’s where we will be regularly putting up what’s to be expected.”

Located at 330 S. Main St. in downtown Jonesboro, Stage, Too’s hours will be Thursday through Saturday from 6-10 p.m.

“We’re excited. So often I’ve heard commentary about people wishing Jonesboro had more to do and so we’re trying to do our part to help solve that problem,” Epps said. “It’s going to be such a fun time to always know that there’s something going on every weekend that you can come and hang out with your friends and enjoy.”
