Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 30, 2025 – Valley View bus riders may need to be picked up by their parent or guardian due to flooding.

Multiple roads in the Valley View School District are underwater due to the heavy rain. Because of this, bus riders will be taken home according to the district’s normal routes, but any students who cannot be safely transported home will be brought back to the school and dropped off at their respective buildings, according to a news release from Valley View School District.

The news release said the parent will be contacted with pickup information if this happens. In addition, to reduce traffic impacts, student drivers were released at 2:50 p.m.

“Parents picking up their children are asked to use extra caution when driving on campus due to road conditions on Kersey Lane and south of campus,” the news release said.
