Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug 7, 2024 – A convicted sex offender who has been incarcerated since June 11 went before Judge Boling today.

60-year-old Adam Williams was charged with five felonies including five counts of Rape, a Class Y Felony, and two counts of Sexually Grooming a Child, a Class D Felony.

The probable cause affidavit states:

On February 8th, 2024 [Complainant] came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a sexual assault on a minor. He told me that he reported this case in 2021, but nothing ever came of the case. [Complainant] said that in 2021 he had gotten custody of his child who is now 9 years old. [Complainant] said he began noticing odd sexual behaviors for a 9-year-old. [Complainant] said that he talked to the boy who went into details about him being raped on multiple occasions by Adam Williams at a family member’s house where he was staying. The boy was interviewed by Crimes Against Children Forensic Interviewers, and he disclosed [details redacted].

[Complainant] came in the office with a 17-year-old female that also used to live with Adam Williams at the same time as the 9-year-old boy. She said that she has never told anyone before but that she had also been raped multiple times by Williams at the same location. She told me that Williams would make all the kids in the house watch porn and then make them perform what they had watched. The 17-year-old was interviewed by Crimes Against Children Forensic Interviewers where she disclosed being raped multiple times by Adam Williams. These Sexual assaults occurred when she was 8 to 14 years old. [Details redacted] She also described one time that Williams was sexually assaulting her and had a shotgun pointed at her head.

On March 15th a Search Warrant was signed by Judge Ellington on the house where Adam Williams resides near Jonesboro. Williams is a Level 2 Sex Offender who reports to the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office. The Search Warrant was for evidence possibly connected to a Sexual Assault on juvenile victims. During the interviews with Crimes Against Children the Juveniles described items that were in the suspect’s house. During the search warrant some of these items were located in locations that they described.

Williams was convicted of sexual assault in the first degree in 2006 and has faced a litany of charges since then.
