Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library has several events scheduled for late April, covering everything from cooking to first-time homebuying.
On April 24, the library will host a question-and-answer session for first-time homebuyers. Nancy Owens will host the event, who will explain various insights into the homebuying process, such as how to get approved for a home loan and how to secure a good interest rate.
No registration is required for this event. It will take place in the Round Room from 5-5:50 p.m.
On April 25, the Cookbook Club will meet. This month’s featured book is “50 Pies, 50 States: An Immigrant’s Love Letter to the United States Through Pie” by Stacey Mei Yan Fong. Participants are encouraged to make a recipe from the book and bring it to share with the group.

A copy of the book is available at the Adult Services Desk. To register for this event, call the library or email lrose@libraryinjonesboro.org. It will take place at 12 p.m. in the Round Room.
Then, on April 28, the Novel Lovers Book Club will meet from 10-11 a.m. in the Shakespeare Room. This month’s book is “The Goddess of Warsaw” by Lisa Barr, and May’s book will be “Finding Margaret Fuller” by Allison Pataki.
Books can be checked out in both physical and digital formats. The Novel Lovers Book Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Those interested can email reference@libraryinjonesboro.org or visit the book club’s page for more information.
