Bay, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – The first-ever Great Big Beautiful Flea Market is coming to Bay this spring.

Tami Hamilton Williams and Vickie Davis are the co-chairs of Bay Community Events, an organization that puts on various community-wide events for the city. The biggest of these is the Bay Harvest Fest, which is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary in October.

Williams said the flea market, of which the proceeds will go to help fund the Harvest Fest, aims to encourage fellowship within the community.

“The bigger towns like Jonesboro have the music festivals and the chili cookoffs and those kinds of things. We would like to bring that to our town, to just get people out and together,” Williams said.

The flea market is set for May 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City Ball Field. The event will feature booths selling antiques, jewelry, arts and crafts, food trucks, and more.

Vendor applications for those wanting to set up a booth or food truck are still open. Booths are $30 per space, while the food truck parking fee is $50. Williams said so far, there were 25 booths and five food trucks signed up for the event.

Williams added that those wanting to apply could contact her at (870 273-3158 or Davis at (870) 974-3602, and that applications would be accepted up until the day of the event.

The flea market is just one of several events Bay Community Events has planned for 2026. Williams said previously, the organization worked on hosting the Bay Harvest Fest, but this year, wanted to plan more events for all ages to “bring our tight-knit community closer together.”

The organization recently hosted a Galentine’s Day event and has a community-wide Bingo Night planned for March.

“We’re just trying to bring something to our town. A lot of people will leave small towns because they say, ‘There’s nothing to do in our town.’ In our small way, we’re trying to bring things to our town.”
