Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug 20, 2024 – Agents with the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force executed a search warrant over the weekend at a home on Pinefield Cove.

There was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence and officials had reason to believe 31-year-old Terrance Mays of Wynne was conducting an illegal operation out of the home.

Agents located several jars of marijuana throughout the house, totaling 15 pounds. There was a digital scale with residue on it and some packaging equipment.

In Mays bedroom, agents located more marijuana in the closet, a loaded Glock 22 and a safe with $11,374 in cash in it. All items were seized and Mays was transported to the CCDC.

Mays is a convicted felon, as he was charged with Second Degree Murder and First Degree Battery back in 2014, stemming from original Capital Murder charges in 2012. He was given 15 years for each charge to run concurrently, but he was out on parole.

Now he’s back in, charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and for violating parole. His bond was set at $250,000.
