Farris Edgar Hufstedler, 66, of Jonesboro, Arkansas departed this life on Friday, May 3, 2024 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Â He was born on April 17, 1958, to Cecil Monroe and Vera Gladys Standfill Hufstedler in Pocahontas.
Farris was a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Safety Trainer for Jonesboro Public School Transportation, the Owner and Mortician of Hufstedler Trade Service and Co-Owner and Mortician of Delancey Mortuary Service. Â He was a member of Ridge Riders Chapter D and enjoyed camping, the beach, fishing, kayaking and Halloween. Â Farris was a jokester and could talk the ears off of a donkey.
He is preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law: Janice Orr.
Farris is survived by his wife: Sherry Burns Hufstedler of Jonesboro, one son: Brent Hufstedler and Angel of Jonesboro, four daughters: Jessica Henninger of Jonesboro, Samantha Swindle and Craig of Harrisburg, Ashley Boling and Chad of Jonesboro and Heather Tallmadge and David of Jonesboro, one brother: Don Hufstedler of Arlington, Texas, two sisters: Deledia King and Kelly of Hurst, Texas and Brooksie Reynolds and Mike Jim of Arlington, Texas, father-in-law: Buster Orr of Jonesboro, thirteen grandchildren: Caylie, Brayden, Kason, Lilly, Lacey, Levi, Hunter, Reece, Emma, Paxton, Christopher and a host of other family and friends.
Memorial service will be held Monday, May 6, 2024, at 6:00p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro.
The family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. until service time.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto.
