Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 21, 2024 – Halloween is almost here as families, gear up to dress up in their craziest costumes and fill their goodie bags with more sweet treats than they can eat. But they can’t get dressed without somewhere safe to go, so here are a few freaky fun festivities for families to enjoy.
Tricky trunk or treats and fascinating family frights
Friday, Oct. 25
The 5th Annual Slings and Sticks, hosted by Forest Home Church of the Nazarene, will be at 6:30 p.m. at 2403 Ritter Dr. in Jonesboro. This free event will feature a trunk or treat, zipline, pumpkin chunkin’, laser tag, carnival games, chili, bonfire, and more.
Hijinx’s Boooling Night will be from 7-10 p.m. at Hijinx Entertainment, located at 3102 Shelby Dr. in Jonesboro. It will feature a night of bowling, epic contests, and thrilling games. Plus, the Zombie Lasertron will take place from 8-11 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 26
Judd Hill Farmers’ Market’s Fall Fun Fest for Kids will be from 9 a.m. to noon at Judd Hill Farmers’ Market, 3350 Aggie Rd in Jonesboro. This kids’ day at the market will wrap up their 2024 regular market season with a fun-filled morning of fall festivities, including a costume contest, trick or treating with market vendors, bouncy houses, a tractor tour, balloon animals, face painting, pumpkin painting, a coloring contest, and a scavenger hunt.
Jonesboro’s Best After School and Summer Camp’s Halloween Party/Parents’ Night Out will be from 5-9 p.m. at Jonesboro’s Best After School and Summer Camp, 2801 S. Caraway Rd. in Jonesboro. This spooktacular party will give parents a break as their little guys and ghouls enjoy arts and crafts, karaoke, martial arts, dodgeball, a costume contest, movies and more. Admission is $30 per child or bring a friend and both come for free.
Verb’s Kid’s Spooky Story Time will be from 3-4 p.m. at the Verb Bookstore, 801 S. Gee St. in Jonesboro. They will be telling kids Halloween stories and giving out Halloween bags. Costumes are encouraged.
Gigi’s Tricks and Treats will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Gigi’s Cupcakes, 2203 Red Wolf Blvd., Ste. 3, in Jonesboro. Enjoy Halloween themed treats, costume contest, and plenty of tricks.
The Southern Delta Church of Wicca ATC’s Children’s Halloween Party will be at 3 p.m. at The Southern Delta Church of Wicca ATC, 104 Main St. in Lake City. This event will feature hotdogs and marshmallows roasted over the fire. Costumes are welcome and the entrance fee is a bag of candy to help fill the cauldron for the kids.
Sunday, Oct. 27
ADEN Rocks will be hosting its third Halloween event from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 296 CR 911 in Jonesboro. Participate in a day of air hockey, beanbag toss, rock painting, and more.
Tuesday, Oct. 29
ARKids Trunk or Treat, will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at ARKids of Jonesboro, 3100 Apache Drive in Jonesboro. Wear your best costume and have a great time.
Wednesday, Oct. 30
JPD Trunk or Treat, hosted by the Jonesboro Police Department, will be from 6-7:30 p.m. at the corner of Mathews and Union in Jonesboro. This free public event features fun, food, candy, toys, games, music, dancing. There will also be contests and prizes for best dancer, best costume, and more.
First Church and First Youth’s Fall Festival 2024 will be from 5:30-7 p.m. at Jonesboro Overhead Door, 925 E. Parker Rd. in Jonesboro. This free event will be a night full of fun with face painting, candy, prizes, food, pumpkins for sale, a costume contest, inflatables, games and more.
Hondaween will be from 5-7 p.m.at Honda of Jonesboro, 3003 E. Parker Rd. in Jonesboro. This free event is a fun-filled trunk or treat event with good food, sweet candy, and plenty of Halloween spirit with the Honda crew.
Thursday, Oct. 31
BOO in the ‘BORO, hosted by the Mayor’s Youth Advancement Council of Jonesboro, will be October 31, from 6-8 p.m. at Union Park, 405 Union Ave. in Jonesboro. This free event will be a safe, free, and fun trunk or treat event for the entire community, featuring tons of candy, games, entertainment, a photo booth, face painting, and much more for kids of all ages. The entire Jonesboro community is welcome and there will be activities planned for all age groups.
Jonesboro Overhead Door’s 5th annual Halloween Skele-bration, will be from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Jonesboro Overhead Door, 925 E. Parker Rd. in Jonesboro. It’s all hands-on deck this Halloween as they invite everyone to gather the treasure at their trunk or treat, have a photo taken under the Drewster Dragon pirate ship, and grab a hot dog and popcorn before embarking on a Captain Jack O’ Lanterns Halloween Walk through display.
Bonesy Jonesy’s Halloween Extravaganza, hosted by B & B Collections, will be from 5-7 p.m. at B & B Collections, 1301 Stone St. in Jonesboro. This event will feature free candy for everyone. The first 100 kids get a goodie bag with free comics and more. Plus, everyone in costume gets entered in a drawing for a gift certificate to the store.
Pay-Less Furniture & Appliances’ Halloween Bash will be from 2:30-6 p.m. at both Jonesboro locations, including 909 E Johnson Ave. and 2803 Creek Dr. in Jonesboro. They will be giving away candy bags with a toy (1 per child) and a photo booth.
Halloween Night, hosted by Holidays for the Cure, will begin at 6 p.m. at 1400 West Monroe Ave. in Jonesboro. This event is held in honor of Jonesboro native Brooke Landrum, who passed away from breast cancer on Halloween – her favorite holiday. This Halloween Show features a unique and immersive display that takes about 20 minutes. The show runs continuously all evening, and donations are welcome.
The Courtyard’s Trunk or Treat will be from 6-8 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott Jonesboro, 4811 East Johnson Avenue in Jonesboro. This trunk or treat will feature Halloween games, candy galore, music, costumes, and more.
Blocktober will be from 5-8 p.m. at the Refuge Church, 1925 Wood St. in Jonesboro. This free event will feature corn dogs, games, bounce houses, and lots of candy.
