Ethridge Mack Bounds of Monette was born May 6, 1938 in Pocahontas to Rev. L.L. and Rofelda Bounds. Mack departed this earth March 28, 2024 at St. Bernards Medical Center surrounded by family.
He is survived by his son, Michael Bounds and his daughter-in-law, Wendy of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama; his brother, Allan Bounds and his sister-in-law, Lisa of Paragould.
Mack was preceded in death by his mother and father; brother, Don Bounds and his former wife, Mary Beth Bounds.
Mack was known throughout the community and area for his ability to “fix anything”. He built the form for the “Living Christmas Tree” for the Monette First Baptist Church. He was a retired welding and machine shop owner. He served the farmers and businesses by repairing and building equipment.
Mack was a United States Army Veteran, great friend, neighbor, father and brother who will be missed.
A celebration of his life will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Gregg Funeral Home with Bob Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow at Macey Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2024 at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jim Steele, Gordon Miller, Bob Blankenship, Kevin Wimberley, David Clark and Ronnie Qualls.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, Children’s Home of Paragould or the charity of your choice to honor Mack.
