Elsie Lorine Hughes, 89, of Doniphan, MO passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at her home in the Current View community.
She was born May 24, 1934 in Parma, MO to the late Franklin Hughey and Etta Hon Davis. She was a retired waitress and a member of Shepherd’s Fold Church.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; Franklin and Etta Davis; husband, Wilburn Raymond Hughes; and all of her siblings.
She is survived by her sons, Wilburn Lee (Charlene) Hughes of Lake Jackson, TX and Donald Ray (Kim) Hughes of Doniphan, MO; nine grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; dedicated friend and caregiver, Neva Decker; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, February 19, 2024 from12-2 PM at Oak Ridge Church of God with a funeral service immediately following at 2 PM with Sister Pat Gargac officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
