Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – February 17, 2025 – An overnight accident on Interstate 555 is affecting the morning commute.
A commercial dump vehicle traveling North on Interstate 555 apparently had his “bed” up in the air. The bed apparently struck the Willow Road overpass as the truck traveled underneath.
The driver of the truck has not been identified. The driver was injured. The extent of the injuries is unknown.
The Willow Road overpass is closed and will remain closed until engineers from the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) inspect the bridge for damage.
Northbound traffic on Interstate 555 is being rerouted at the Highway 463 (East Nettleton) exit. Southbound traffic appeared to be traveling normally on Interstate 555.
The accident was reported around 3:55am. More information will become available as the day progresses.
