Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Dec. 9, 2024 – Jonesboro police recently responded to an address on Brooks Street in reference to a reported attempted overdose.
When officers got to the house, they met with a man and woman both known to law enforcement. The woman told officers the man had taken pills and had become nonresponsive, and that’s when she called 911.
But the man said he did not take any pills. The woman admitted that she had been using drugs and could not pass a drug test. She also admitted that there were drugs in the house.
Those drugs were found inside a diaper bag in the home. Officers found meth and a meth pipe. There was no child of diaper-wearing age in the home at the time, but there was a 7- to 8-year-old child present. The child was turned over to the woman’s mother and the two suspects were arrested.
Both were charged with possession of meth or cocaine, possession of paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a minor. Both bonds were set at $15,000 cash or surety and both have a late-January court date.
