Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — May 8, 2025 — Roads in downtown Jonesboro will be closed Thursday and Friday due to an upcoming event and maintenance.
For Thursday, May 8, roads will be closed due to the Meet Me on Main event. Closures will be in effect from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Affected roads include Main Street from Cate Avenue to Huntington Avenue, Huntington to Monroe Avenue and Monroe from Union Street to Main.
Then, on Friday, May 9, crews will work on general maintenance and install lighting on Main Street. This is related to the former Citizens Bank demolition project.
Main Street from Washington Avenue to Huntington Avenue will be closed. Closure begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m.
A City of Jonesboro Facebook post said this maintenance will be completed before full road openings. There is still no official date for when Main Street will fully reopen.
