David A. Dotson, 74, a lifetime resident of Jonesboro, was died of Thursday, February 29, 2024.  He was born on March 11, 1949, in Nettleton to Thomas and Rosa Lee Dotson.  He served his country in the US Army.  His profession was as a journeyman carpenter.  Even though he lived in Arkansas, he had a love for sailing.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Janet Dotson, of the home; children, Chris Dotson, Tony, Dotson, Jeremy Dotson, Joshua Dotson and Jennifer Carr; sisters, Lila Simmons and Rose Ann Smith; fifteen grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren;

A memorial service will be 6:00 PM Friday, March 8, 2024, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Visitation will be from 5:00 until service time.  Burial will be private.
