Danny Roy McKenney, 68 of Rector passed from this world on February 2, 2024 at the Rector
Nursing and Rehab. Danny was born in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Roy and Viola (Walls)
McKenney. As a young man he received a Bachelor Degree in Science and Accounting. He decided to try his own line of business and operated the Pizza Line at Rector which many enjoyed. He then went on to work as an Accountant at Voice Text Communications He greatly loved to travel and observe the many beautiful scenes in this world. He was full of useless knowledge as he liked to tell his family and he also knew his movie trivia. Danny even tried his hand at knitting. There were lots of projects started, just none finished.
He is survived by his sisters: Donna Mode of Rector, Rose and Wayne Jones of Manila, a brother: James Calvin McKenney of Rector, nieces and nephews: Erin and Mike Groves of Boydsville, Ben and Mandy Yancey of Rector, Shawn and Katie Jones of Manila and a host of
other family and friends.
Visitation will begin on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home
in Rector. Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Kenny Burns officiating. Interment
will be at the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
