Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 15, 2025 – The Craighead County Veterans Service Office is temporarily closing and moving to a new location due to renovations on the bottom floor of the Craighead County Courthouse.

The office closed on Tuesday and will remain so until Jan. 27 to allow employees to move to its temporary location, the Craighead County Election Annex, located at 315 W. Jefferson Ave. Veterans Service will be there eight to 12 weeks, or until renovations are completed, according to Craighead County Veterans Service Officer Terry Wilkins.

Once the office reopens, it will maintain its normal operating hours of Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Anyone needing assistance during the office’s closure should call and leave a voicemail and a Veterans Service employee will return the inquiry as soon as possible.

“Veterans Service will maintain the same contact numbers and email with appointment scheduling starting back on [Jan. 27],” a Craighead County Facebook post read. “Veterans Service is committed to providing the best service possible during this transition.”
