BACK TO SCHOOL GUIDE – Jonesboro Right Now – With the first day of school just around the corner, many Craighead County families are preparing for the upcoming academic year.
JRN has compiled a list of area school supply lists to help when filling up your cart. The Walmart app has also added all NEA schools to its quick shopping online feature, which will put all needed supplies into your online cart with one click.

School Supply Lists
As a note, Tax Free Weekend is Aug. 1-2 in Arkansas, so school supplies, electronics, and clothing can be purchased free of state and local sales or use taxes. Click here to find a full list of items that can be purchased tax-free that weekend.
Jonesboro:
- Jonesboro Public Schools, click here
- Nettleton Public Schools, click here (Junior high and high school students will be informed of any class-specific supply needs in the first days of school, but bringing pens/pencils and paper are still recommended)
- Valley View School District, click here
- Westside Consolidated School District
Bay:
- $45 will be required from each student. During the summer, payments can be made in the office or at open house night.
Brookland:
- Brookland Public Schools:
- Brookland Primary School
- Brookland Elementary School
- Brookland Intermediate School
- Brookland Middle School
- Brookland Junior High School – There is no set school supply list; teachers will inform students of any necessary supplies.
- Brookland High School – There is no set school supply list; teachers will inform students of any necessary supplies.
Caraway/Lake City:
- Riverside School District: The district will be providing supplies for all K-12 students; however, students will need to provide their own backpack, water bottle, headphones and computer mouse.
Monette:
Buffalo Island Central Schools: The school is providing basic supplies for students; however, students must provide their own backpack. Additionally, the technology insurance fee is $25 per student, or $35 per family.
